UnFREEz 2.1

UnFREEz. This is currently a very useful freeware application. It may not be as well laid out or as easy to use as other paid animators but it's free! The program will take any amount of .GIF images (they have to be saved as .GIF first as it does not convert other image types into .GIF) and it animates them at how ever many frames per a second you choose. The animation can then be saved if you like it.

Actual Drawing - For Newbies To Experts, offers Media Embedding, pre-made scripts, usual scripts like drop-down menu. However cannot display all scripts like if you just paste a image. In this case you would need to ViewSource after saving page. FREE FOR DOWNLOAD

Visual Page - For Newbies To Experts, Comes with certain versions of Norton OR Norton SystemWorks. View Page In Scripts Option. May not be Free.

one ofr my favourites is the free and iseful Firefox with webdevelopers extension. Lots of useful things including selective deactivation of features on a page, CSS helpers etc. But the thing i really like is the resize the window to a specified resolution. Great for designing max compatability sites.

For the Macintosh

BBEdit
Not free. In fact slightly pricey, but definitely worth every cent. Great for all script wrinting.. php, asp, html, xml, unix, etc. If it's too costly for you check out TextWrangler, made by the same company.

SEEdit
Shareware and fairly inexpensive. Nice light code editor.

CSSEdit
Shareware. Nice visual CSS editor. Lets you see your styles as you edit them and contains many shortcuts for developing style sheets pages.

XScope
Shareware. Not really so much for web development as it is for visual checking. it allows you to use frames on your desktop to see the screen real estate every browser will use at certain resolutions. This allows you to check pages without having to change your actual monitor resolution.

Transmit
Shareware. Probably the best FTP client for the Mac.
