Windows do not open to full size

I have to click on the Maximize button to get most windows to open full size.

If a window does not open all the way, use the arrow on your mouse and grab each side of the window and drag up right, left, top, bottom. Once it is the right size, now hit maximize. Now close it, reopen should be OK.

Thanks but

I have tried that with no success. I suspect there is a registry item that fixes this, but I have no idea what it is.

If you're opening the window from a Desktop icon, right click the icon and in the menu that opens, click Properties.
On the Shortcut tab, click the "Run" drop-down arrow and choose Maximized, click OK.
See if that works

Thanks. That works sometimes, not always. I have not been able to predict when it will or will not work.

Open the program, maximize the window by clicking the square icon in the upper-right corner. Then, press and hold the Ctrl key and close the program. Re-open program to see if it opens as maximized.
