dead motherboard?

My computer is only a few weeks old and was
working fine until a few days ago. I turned it on
and received a black screen with what looked like
an error message.
R423XT P/N 113-A31903-102-Rev09-16P BR#7907 A12 DDR3
There was no other text- just this?? I couldn't access the
BIOS or safe mode. I know that if you cannot access the
BIOS, it generally isn't good news. Anyway, I removed the
CMOS battery and left it for a few hours. I also removed
my video card. After a few hours, I put these back into my
system and it booted fine. It worked for a few days until I got
the EXACT same message. Again, I did the same thing and it
worked for a while. It seems to be happening more often now.
I do not not what this error message means- tried googling it
but with no luck.

Hopefully I may have better luck here!

No sorry I don't have another card to try? Do you
think it may be the motherboard at fault?

Is this a custom built or bought off the shelve computer? Any warranty?

I believe one of the memory sticks is bad. If you have more then one memory stick, take them out only leaving one in, if it boots OK, then replace it with the one you took out ect this will identify a bad memory stick, unless you only have one stick.

Since you have access to another computer go HERE download and follow instructions on extracting the files to a clean FLOPPY. Then fool around with the sick computer to get it to boot so you can get into BIOS and set it to boot from a floppy as the first device, then boot with the floppy you just made.

If the memory or one of the memory sticks is BAD this program should identify it.

It's a straight from the shelf computer. I'll try what you have told me and report back when I have done so

Thank You
