Monitor turns off when game run in full screen
this problem has been bothering me for a while now, please help:

after i formatted my computer once, whenever i run a game in full screen, the screen turns black and the monitor turns off (the light turns from green to yellow). i tried uninstalling and installing my graphic card but it doesnt work and my graphic card is fine cause it worked on all those games before. oh and if i run the same game but in a windowed screen, it works, but most games cant be run in a windowed screen

tell more about your computer, cpu, ram, harddrive size/space available, and operating system. Also what video card and game?

my computer is a 2.0ghz p4, 60gb, 50gb available and 512mb ram. My operating system is windows 2000. the video card im using is an ASUS V9620 Magic which is a nvidia geforce 4 with 128mb ram. everything that involves going full screen does not work. Thanks for your help
