avi to flv converters?

Hi, I'm looking for some sort of preferably freeware or opensource avi to flv converter software...though it doesn't have to be. I've searched around and most of what comes up on google looks pretty shady. Other than that, I messed with a trial version of camtasia which seems to generate a complete swf wrapper and not just a raw flv file.

I'm working on doing a website and the media player I would like to use(jquery flowplayer) only supports the flv format.

TIA and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Avidemux is open source and allows for direct copying of the video and audio streams so you don't lose any quality. Hope it helps.
