I think my pc has been hacked pls help

Hey guys 1st time at this forum

im using windows xp pro sp2. i think my pc has been hacked because whenever i start warcraft 3 the frozen throne, my pc loses its internet connection. Im using a cable modem (always on), and have norton internet security. However when i do not run warcraft 3 my internet connection seems fine. Recently i now lose internet connection whenver i run other full sreen games i lose internet connection after a period of time. The modem driver in device manager appears with a yellow exclamation mark sometimes after the disconnection. The only way i can regain internet connection is if i restart my pc. This problem persists even after i have recently reformatted my pc (3 days ago).
I have been playing warcraft3 for 2 years now so it cant be a compatibilty issue( I have not changed any hardware). I thought the modem could be the cause but i have since replaced it it a new one of the same model (motorola surfboard 5101), but the problem still persists. Could i have been hacked by a denial of service hacker? if so i can i solve it? pls help im in real need of advice. thanks for ur time guys

Doesn't sound like a hack issue. It's sound more like an issue between the game and internet. So since two years ago you didn't have this problem, I would suggest looking into seeing if their are any downloads available for your computer, such as BIO, drivers and so on.

Otherwise the computer may just be doing it atuomaticly, so it has enough availble memory to run the game.

You haven't been hacked, let alone suffered from a DOS attack. How is the modem connected to your PC, USB or Cat5 (network cable)? Do you run any firewalls (including the XP firewall)? Also, have you got the latest Warcraft 3 patch (version 1.20c I think)?
