Will this video card work on my computer?

With this PC (http://www.fryssupport.net/fm7350.cfm) will I be able to run this graphics card (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...371636&CatId=0), and will it improve my game performance at all?

The only thing I have upgraded on my PC is the RAM. I now have over a gigabyte.

That motherboard does not have an AGP slot, it's an ECS Socket 478 mobo. See description in link below:

http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Product...uID=22&LanID=0

So the answer is No, that card will not work in your computer. To use an AGP video card, you need a new motherboard because you cannot add an AGP slot to a motherboard. It comes built in.

But it says it has an "Additional AGP slot for different video card" on the site:

http://www.fryssupport.net/fm7350.cfm

I am confused!

If you went to the website he gave you, the specs say that the motherboard has an AGP slot.

The video card would work great for your computer, unless what cardrang said is correct, you r power supply wont support it. But then of course you could get a 400 watt power supply that I saw at newegg.com for 20$

It was the + that made the difference. The board I looked for and at didn't have the + sign outside the numbers. So it does indeed have an AGP slot, but, it's only 4x, so that means any 8x card you get will only run at 4x. Sorry for the confusion.

And the minimum required specs on that card state this:

Minimum System Requirements

Intel Pentium IV (and above), AMD K8 (and above) or compatible with AGP slot

Installation software requires CD-ROM drive

Minimum of a 350 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 18 Amp Amps.)

So, the card may run in your system, but your power supply has to have 18 amps on the 12v rail. Plus it needs at least a 350 Watt power supply and yours is only 330watt according to that fry's website.

iwin2000 the recommended specs is where it says 350w psu. It's listed below the rest of the info on that card.

Okay, so the card won't work on my PC properly because I don't have enough watts?

Can you give me some recommondations to other cards that will work 100% with my system?

Thanks!
