Well no, it isn't a requirement. But as I alluded to above, it is an easy way to snappier performance ... and even on some older, under powered systems.

That sums it all up, posted years ago by one who knows.

Unfortunately we have some here who think they know better - They don't.

The last version that works on Win98se is 2.0Beta (1st beta released) and I cant find it anywhere. Can someone possibly help me?? (I just wanted to run a scan with it once as I remember years ago the first time I did it found a little more than the version I love (1.45))

I have been using Ccleaner and Wise Disk Cleaner. But clearly everyone needs to be cautious when using some registry cleaners quite a few of them aren't safe at all. Damn.

you checked the download section of this forum. it is so out of date that it still may have it. too lazy to look myself :-)

still wonder why the section has never been deleted - every time I asked about it the last few years it is when I have time.

Thanx buddy I just checked there and no regseeker @ all....... (Unless I looked under the wrong branch)

Thanx for trying... Its so aggravating!! (I mean I love 1.45 I think its the BEST version but the scanning on 2.0 finds a bit more and I wouldnt mind running it one time since I havent in along time)

Hmmm.........
That's not a bad price.
But, I need the storage capacity of a 1TB drive.

True, the price of SSD's have come down quite a bit.
Especially the SSD's that are smaller than 512GB.
I'm seeing retailer's blowing out these smaller drives, so they can start selling the larger capacity SSD's.

I did a quick search of 1TB SSD's & HDD's Drives.
1TB HDD's are around $50.
1TB SSD's are around $60 - $125.

Another issue with SSD's is that most are only rated for 2 - 3 years of use.
Where most HDD's have a 6 years or longer of use.
