Hope I'm wrong but a clicking noise can mean a dying/dead HDD.

Missing file, unable to boot, please help

I turn my computer on and it took about ten minutes but finally an error message popped up. It reads

"windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt.
<windows root>\system 32\ntoskrnl.exe
Please re-install a copy of the above file."

can anybody please help me? could any one give me that file?

Hi shaun1640, I have merged your threads to avoid confusion (I gather we are talking about the same PC?)

The problem may not be caused by a missing file, see Windows Could Not Start Because of a Computer Disk Hardware Configuration Problem. As dohray said, a clicking sound is not good. It would be a good idea to run a hard drive diagnostic utility. There should be one available for your drive on the manufacturers site.
