Out of memory?

My computer which is running on Windows 8 and is a little over a year old is popping up with an error that says "out of memory at number 1" or something like that. Does anyone recognize that error and what it might mean? I have plenty of memory in the machine and do not use a lot of memory. It is basically a computer for email and word processing. No gaming and basic internet surfing.
Thanks,
Cheri

1. Press WindowsKey + X then click on System

2. Tap or click Advanced system settings. You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.

3. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, tap or click Settings.

4. Tap or click the Advanced tab, and then, under Virtual memory, tap or click Change.

5. Is the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives check?

6. At the bottom what does it show for?:

Minimum allowed

Currently allocated

How much space is left on your hard drive?

1. Click on Start (4 little flags)
2. Click on Disk Management

At the top under "C" what is the capacity and % of free space?

As I currently can't get into my computer as described in another post called Black Screen, I can't give you that information yet.
