gmail - IP

I really thought the problem stopped. Heres exactly how I do this. When I go in gmail, I most times have to type gmail to my Brother everyday. I click out gmail without log off. I do my Malwarebytes scan. Go back in to gmail to see if hacker is there. He/She is allways there. I click all Google accounts off. I only have just 1 gmail. I log out of gmail. It seems the hacker don't get on my gmail when iam not logged in. The hacker is in, using my exact IP address. The password is impossible to figure out. I keep that wrote down in the bottom dresser drawer, no where on the computer. I also got Zemana antilogger. I just don't no. Any ideas? Thanks, Chuck

How do you determine that there is a hacker there?
I suspect you may be misinterpreting something.

Is your computer connected to your network router by a cable or by WiFi?

I guess I call it a hacker if She/he is in your computer when there not suppose to. I call them hackers , very ruthless people I think. Every time I login to gmail. Thay have this box it says, suspicious activity. ( different location ) Oh I would say 50 to 60 miles away. Iam in nursing home, we got WIFI. Can I send screenshots there? I have no clue how. I send screenshots to Brother in email all the time. I can do screenshots on here very easy. I got Windows 8.1
I changed my password again today. This is very tough to explain without a screenshot to show you. Thanks Ned For Your Great Help. Thanks,Chuck

In GMail at the very bottom right you will see Last account activity: Click on details, is this where you are seeing it?

Chuck log off every time you leave Gmail, I suspect that you are seeing the suspicious activity message because when you log back in, gmail sees that the account is already logged in from your previous session that you have not logged off.

Yes Murf that where I see it there. It shows another location around 50 or 60 miles away, but It shows my IP number, never a different one. Iam stumped. Any ideas? It don't seem to be bothersome. But just knowing. Tough to explain. Thanks, Chuck

Ned I log off every time from gmail. Because if I don't She/he will be on there, maybe it,s a kid. Iam just not sure. I also turn my internet off at night when iam done. I don't download any games go to porn or nothing like that, really I download nothing. I have downloaded Malwarebytes, Ccleaner, AdWcleaner from Bleeping Computers and my antivirus Windows Defender but I got Windows 8.1 and Malwarebytes Anti Root Kit ( Beta ). I update and run it all everyday. My computer shows clean. Thanks For Your Help, you and Murf are allways great help. Thanks, Chuck

Not really necessary to run all that security stuff, in fact doing so can cause you problems. All you need is to turn on your computers firewall and have a good antivirus running, that antivirus should be set to update at least daily.

However you said in your earlier post that you "I click out gmail without log off" and now you say, "I log off every time from gmail" these are conflicting statements, so I'm not sure what you mean.

To log off from Gmail's webmail page, click on the icon in the topright corner of the Gmail page, it is a circle containing a picture of head and shoulders and click on sign out in the botom right of the drop down box.

As long as you have a good password and do not share details with anyone, there is little chance of someone hacking you account.

As far as this goes, that may be the location of your ISPs internet equipment, if so it is nothing to worry about.

Mine is the same I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia, but an IP search on my IP number will usually bring up Woolangabba a suburb of Brisbane where my ISPs equipment is located. That is around 60 miles from me.

Ned I sometimes wont log off in gmail and wait for a while and you might say ( sneak in gmail and check to see if anyones there ). Then I close gmail account then when I no there gone I allways log off gmail. You very well could be right, could be there equipment may be in different location. Iam not going to worry about it anymore. It,s just the many obstacales we have. Thanks, Chuck I would say this is solved.
