Computer doesn't turn on ;_;

My computer won't even turn on.. (i guess this would be hardware.. since I just put everything together..)

Everything is connected, and correctly at that.. I turn the PSU on (w/ the 1/0 switch) and my mobo starts to flash a blue LED (asus p5b deluxe, flashes LED's when it has power).. Assuming the next step was to hit the power button on the case, I pressed it.. and nothing happened.. no fans started wirring, the psu fan didn't kick in, nothing.. I tried messing with jumper for the case switches and still no luck (yes, they are in correctly)

My current setup:
cpu: intel core2 duo E6600
gpu/vga: saphire radeon x1950xt 512mb
mobo: asus p5b deluxe
mem: corsair xms2 2gb
case: sunbeam transformer
hdd: wd 320gb
optical: asus dvd rom and dvd burner (w/lightscribe!)
(everything is sata, no ide/pata!)
and several vantec tornados

Relative questions:
1. did I miss something important? (other than plugging the stuff in..?)
2. could a 'fried' cpu cause this to happen?
3. why me?

I have until June 3, 2007 to RMA the cpu and get a new one.. consequently, if I RMA the cpu I end up sending the mobo and memory back (since they came in the same order)

suggestions?

that happened to me. I took the heatsink back off and cleaned the thermal grease off the cpu and reapplied the grease and put the heatsink back on and mine started up fine. I don't know if I just put too much thermal grease on the first time or the heatsink wasn't seated properly but reseating the cpu and heatsink worked. figured it might help if you can't think of anything else wrong.

good luck
