Please can I have a "good boy" badge for sitting on the sidelines with an amused /bemused expression on my face and resisting the temptation to wade in with my size 11's (that's size 12's in the US - size 46 in Eurozone) and therefore not upsetting anyone?
Obviously, the Ritalin/Mogadon mix that Vanessa is putting in my Tesco Value ground coffee is having some effect.

Hiya mate, I think you are right. The guys have now explained themselves fully and have convinced me that they were doing it for the right reasons. I don't 100% agree with why, but I respect the rationale behind it.

I'm ready to park this and move on and am grateful that the explanation was given, and for the majority of the thread, given impartially and without any histrionics.
Now whether you want a sweaty, grumpy 200 pounder in the group hug is another thing
