Can't join a laptop to domain
I have a small network and I am having problems with joining a laptop to the domain. I keep getting an error that says there are errors and this computer can't be trusted. After words, I can see and access files, but I can't get e-mails (exchange server and outlook) because it says it is not connected to network. How do I correct this problem? I have run the diagnostics and it indicates no problems, I ran anti virus scans in case that was the problem, but nothing there. I have other laptops and even a surface Pro 3 that is connected without any issues.
it is a SBS 2003 domain server and win 7 laptop. I also tried a Win 8.1 laptop and same problem. Last edited by Rwhunt99; May 11th, 2015 at 02:02 PM. |

Which versions of Windows? For example, in order to join a domain in Windows 7, you need the Professional or Ultimate edition.

Did you get the following message:
The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed. If so, you need to delete the existing computer account in Server Manager. |
