Linux and DSL

I'm using SuSE Linux 9.0 and like it very much. I'm thinking of changing from cable(RoadRunner)to a DSL modem(Verizon)The only thing holding me back is the fear of not being able to configure SuSE to run on the DSL modem. Anybody got DSL with Linux or SuSE Linux? How hard was it to setup? Any problems? Thanks.

Reason for changing=$

It really depends on what type of modem and dsl service you get on how you would set it up. A very general setup would be to first make sure PPPoE drivers are installed before you can config. It's been a long while since I did this with SuSe but I believe the config tool is YAST. You should see a Network Device menu button, click it and that should show you a dsl modem config module. As long as all the correct info is imput the dsl connection should work, info such as "PPP over eathernet". Like I said its been a long time since working with SuSe and dsl so if other members or mod's can add or help out feel free to post.
