Invalid boot.ini file message

I keep getting a invalid boot.ini file when i start my computer. could someone help. plus i think its not even on my hrad drive cause i did a search for for the file but the search didn;t find it. thanks

To find your boot.ini file do this.

Go to Start/Programs/Accessories/Notepad....
Once Notepad opens, go to the top of the page and choose FILE, then Open.

Make sure it is set to C: drive, then change the Files of Type to All Files. Then Type boot.ini in there.

Post back with what is in you boot.ini file.
