Close Programs

Hello, I"M installing a new anti-vituse program,they suggest to close all running
programs,is it OK to close I/e and sys.tray.
Some tech's not to,some say it's OK.what should i do.

The "close all programs before installing" is a standard warning for pretty much all software. Leave Explorer and Systray...you should be fine.

BTW....The Explorer you see in the task list in NOT Internet Explorer. That explorer is different. It's pretty much windows itself. You close that and you won't have anything....

If you also have Internet explorer running at install time, you can close that. Just make sure you are getting the right one.
