Recomendations on Network.

alright at my work, im also the tech guy there.

we are getting ready to build a server for our shop.

this server will hold all the data, for jobs and payroll and the job orders.

We have a total of 6 xp computers + 1 mac pro. and 2 win98/2000 machines.

so 9 computers and the server.

what would be the best way to connect all the computers?

i figured it would be a 12 port switch, and connect the internet to the uplink port.

or shud i just another 2 routers?

i would recommend one router and one switch for your network

if you believe your company is going to expand in the near future then i would recommned you getting a 48 port switch.

be sure to know how to configure the router for sercuity reasons as well as making it safe for all workers to access apporiate sites

You really don't ever want to have more than one router within an office.
