Registered Name (Computer Owner)???

Hi All,
In my company someone (who no longer works here) installed XP Home on a PC and registered the computer in his name instead of the company name, now when the accountant tries to print documents the footnote includes his name.

Ok, so I mean when you right click and get properties on My Computer it says System blah blah blah, Registered to His Name. Is there any way other than format and re install to change Registered to "Name" ? is it a registry key or something?

Many Thanks in advance.

try this

1.Click Start, and then click Run.2.In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.3.Locate the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
4.To change the company name, do the following:

In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOrganization. Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.5.To change the name of the registered owner, do the following:

In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOwner. Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.6.Click Exit on the File menu to quit Registry Editor.

Yes, it requires a registry edit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version and in the right-hand pane, double click on Registered Owner and make the change in the Value Data field.

renegade beat me to it!
