How about looking in MS Config to see what is starting up when you turn on the computer? Also have you looked in the Device Manager to see if there are any red or yellow marks there?
Other than that unless Murf or somebody else here comes up with any ideas I would either contact Dell to see what they say or take the laptop to a reliable independent computer repair shop. |

Just for the heck of it take a look at this article, and let's see if the Reliability Monitor can give us some clues as to what the heck is going on.

There a quite a few errors in there. All the ones that list chrome say: Faulting module name: ntdll.dll Any thoughts? Jill: all device manager items are normal. I did notice that the laptop has the built in intel video card, and an added AMD Raedon. It seems to be using the intel instead of the better amd card... |

Would you want to try uninstalling Chrome, and use Edge browser just to see if this helps? |
