Q9300 vs Q9450 quad core processors...
Hi, i am doing 3D modeling and rendering and currently own an old 3.6 intel P4 processor.
i want to upgrade to either the Q9300 or the Q9450 to increase 3D rendering speeds. the Q9300 is a 2.5Ghz processor with a L2 Cache of 6MB, the Q9450 is a 2.66Ghz processor with a L2 Cache of 12MB. how much of a difference in increased 3D rendering speeds may I notice with the Q9450? because im not sure if i should spend more money on it if i dont really have better results... or will i barely notice better rendering times and should just stick with the cheaper Q9300? thank you. |

There is a slight performence increase between the two when it comes to games etc not so sure about 3D rendering, ether way they both will slaughter your P4.
