wireless n help
I have bought a dell laptop which has a wireless g card but I have a wireless n netgeaar router. I am looking to get a usb adapter but am confused as to which is best. Some are cheap some are expensive, some say 150 and others 300. Please help. Also someone mentioned antennas and this confused me even more.

The Netgear Wireless N router should be backwards compatible in that you could make it operate using g. You should have a look at the web control panel of the router (Default Gateway address in browser and log in) and there you should find 'Mode' settings where you control b/g/n etc.

The thing is I am confused as to what excactly the N has over the G. I will have two pc's wired to the N router so I don't really want to change the settings. If I changed the card in my laptop would I notice any difference in internet speed?

Your Internet speed can only go as fast as your ISP can allow. You might notice an increase with the wireless connection depending on the signal strength you are getting currently. However, most likely you'll get a better connection between your computer and your wireless router or access point.
