Alert: Mind controlling banners rolling out!

Caught this article from Digg and there are some scary technology developing these days. New "trustbanners" as they call it, is sad to be able to now control consumer's mind to make them buy whatever the service or product that is on the banner through some weird methodolgy that this corporation has invented or found..

More detail on the trust banners:

If you go to this page and read the "Commerical trial banner example in action" caption which says, "Simply click the banner five times and a reverse signal will be emitted immediately returning you to your original state of mind," you might think the whole thing is some strange Aussie humor.

How can it possibly control my mind when I don't even know what day it is?

It's today here, tomorrow there.

Old technology with a twist...

Subliminal advertising is outlawed here...this is simply old technology given a twist. It is also a very old brainwashing technique.

Advertising that subliminally influences a consumer to purchase/consume should be made illegal, and has been made illegal here in Australia when first applied in advertisements years back.

rockboy, are we too subtle?

Perhaps everyone should consult the Dr from the NSW Mind and Brain Inst.

Subtle? Patient might be a more apt description. After all it's today here, not tomorrow.

legalsuit, now you've done it. I'm in the mood for popcorn. Hot buttered fresh from the popper steaming popcorn.

Good. Hot. Buttery. Fresh. Popcorn.
