Should I follow big fix recomendations

Thanks to a very smart man on this web sight I have my XP working well. I do however have a lot of recomended updates, one of which is SP1 for IE6. I have tried to download it three times and it runs for about 20 min and then starts over. I am even a little gun shy now to update, because things are working so well. Any advise?

Rule of Thumb. If it ain't broke dont fix it. So if your PC is running great, do NOT update anything. That can and usually does lead to nothing but problems if your system is already running good....

I'd recomend not doing anything else with your system. You will not see any performance boost from IE 6 sp1....
