The fire got my H.P. so I drug out this Dell
Hey Ya'll
I had a little fire last week and lost the computer i have used for about 6 or 7 yrs.I might be able to take the hard drive out and retrieve my pics and other stuff later on. Right now i'm using a dell dimension 4100,with 2000 pro. My problem is with the video controller driver. All the images look like cartoons or something. The 2000 disk doesn't help when I try to update the driver. Is there anywhere I can get the right driver or whatever.I don't have any way of paying for someone to fix this thing for me,ect. Can anyone help please. Thanks Robin |

So sorry to hear you had a fire. I hope you and yours are OK.
I'm Googling your issue. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html The best place I've found so far. Hope it helps. |

Thank you Kaveman for your responce and your concern. The fire was confined to my little computer room aka extra bedroom. I left a cig burning I guess and it lit the desk and surrounding stuff up.It's both ironic and lucky that i'm a retired fireman and had some good smoke detectors and a real good fire extinguisher to keep the fire knocked down until my firefighter brothers got here.
Thank you again for the link to maybe resolve my monitor issue.Maybe if I can get this thing working right I can find out how to repair the other computer enough to at least get my pics of my grand young'uns off of it. Thanks again Robin Peckerwood Ala |
