Question Windows Update Site not working after SP2 update.

Hello,

After updating this computer with the sp2 update for XP home, I am unable to use the window's update site (http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.co....aspx?ln=en-us) without it returning the following error.

For self-help options:

once you are updated to sp2, you cannot manually update unless you turn off auto update.

Hey Anne,

Tried them one at a time. They all registered successfully however the windows update site is still returning the same errors.

Strange but the error is also being duplicated on a second computer with the same setup.

hummmm anyone else having problems.....

What it turned out to be was a equipment conflict issue between a Westell DSL modem and a LINKSYS router. We could connect to the INTERNET and also send and receive email but we could not submit forms (on some sites). The proper settings have been put in place and the Windows Update site works fine.
