Sorting is Incorrect?
Whether I am using Windows Explorer or Explorer++, my files are being sorted by name like this:
201312XX.jpg 201506xx 1.jpg 20131117 1.jpg 20120217.jpg 20130701 2.jpg 20140126.jpg 20150101.jpg The correct format should be in numerical order: 20120217.jpg 20130701 2.jpg 20131117 1.jpg 201312XX.jpg 20140126.jpg 20150101.jpg 201506xx 1.jpg So it must be something the OS is doing? Results are just as reversed when sorting descending. Even copying these to another folder the file names are out of order. In other folders with other files, things look correct. Any thoughts? Thank you. |

Looking at that site, their default method is what I want and, if reading it correctly, I should already be doing. For every other folder on the system, I am. For these files, on W8 and Vista, they are not, even when moved to different folders or systems. I still tried the registry bit but that did not change. My files should be as in that second set above. I just do not understand. I do not see anything like this with similar named files. I must be missing something.
Or I am crazy. |
