Question Printing pictures

I use win7 Home Premium with sp 1 installed and all up to date.
Printer is HP deskjet 2050. The problem I'm having is as follows....
It will not print pictures. Prints text just fine.. If I open a file with text and pictures, it will print all ok including the pictures.

If I go to Start, Pictures, and right click on a picture and click print, it opens the print dialog where I can select type of paper, size etc, and click print, it gives me the scan bar and appears to be loading the picture, but it never prints it.

Checking the printer to see what's being printed shows no files loaded..

I have reinstalled the printer which didn't help.. I made sure to get the right
printer driver and software from HP..
If I open the same picture with another program like Lotus freeware graphics, it will print it from there...
It doesn't seem to be a problem with the printer, but I don't know exactly where the problem is..
I did scan the computer for malware and virus, nothing found.
I also did the SFC /scannow.. and it reports No integrity violations..

Any and all help will be appreciated Thank You...

In the window that opens after you click on Print, make sure the HP printer is selected in the Printer drop-down list.

There may be other entries listed there that have been inadvertently selected in the past.

looks like it is a common problem try the following...

Quote:
... it is a problem with the "photowiz.dll" file in system32.

It is version 6.x.xxxx.xxxx.

I found an older version of this file, had to change the attributes and permissions of the file to allow it to be changed.

I renamed it with an "dlx" extension and then copied a version 5.1 photowiz.dll to system32 and the print wizard works again! The site I got the file from is:
