ipconfig... NOT!

I need to access the ipconfig utility. I go to Start; Run; and type 'ipconfig' into the search bar, then hit 'enter'. When I do, the box appears, and instantly goes away. I need the ipconfig to get the information to enter into my Blu-ray/DVD player for accessing HuluPlus, Blockbuster on demand, Netflix, etc. This is really a problem, and if anyone can help, I'd sure be thankful !
Respectfully,
daLesMan

In the Run box, type "cmd" (without the quotes), click OK or press Enter.

Type the ipconfig command in the window that opens.
