Think I got it now

Went into registry in Safe Mode and changed the user account control to OFF

Now SP1 is installing and other programs listed above are working

Strewth !

I'll be the UAC was the problem, never thought about that. Lets see if SP1 fixes the other programs. Thanks for letting us know, good info here.

Update

Still issues...

So I downloaded an iso of Wins 7 without SP1 and did an update within Windows

Needed to type in the Product ID and activate

All is well

WOW, Windows 7 must of been corrupted, glad you got it going.
