Win2000 Pro fresh install
Help I am trying to fresh install 2000Pro on an older Pentium2 for a friend,
The machine boots from the CD, goes through the setup procedure to the start Windows point then shuts down, It then reboots from CD with the same result, going around and around in circles, what am I doing wrong? thanks Stan.

does the specs meet the requirements of 2kpro?
make sure all devices are not plugged in, just leave keyboard and mouse. is the CD in good working condition (no major scratches?)

LOL. I just got done installing win 2k on my system. I had the exact same problem. I went around twice like that. Windows shuts down with the cd in the drive and when it restarts it thinks you want to install the OS again. I don't know why it does that. I know I was overlooking something. Anyway take the cd out at the first shutdown. When the system restarts it will ask you to put the win 2K cd in the cd rom and click OK. Then it will start to copy more files as necessary.
