If the icon for the C drive is correct, right click the C drive in My Computer, left click on Properties, left click on the Icon tab. Copy what's in the "Current Icon" field. Close that window.

Right click on the D drive in My Computer, left click on Properties, left click on the Icon tab. Paste what you copied from the C drive's "Current Icon" field into the D drive's Current Icon field, press the enter key. Make sure the icon you want is selected in the icons displayed, click OK and OK.

Thanks But NO ICON TAB

Thanks for the advice but under My Computer, Right Click on Drive, Left Click on Properties there isn't an ICON tab or field. Anything Further?

Oops...sorry...I'm using a couple of add-on programs to play with things like Icons and themes, so the Icon tab must be something added by one of those.

The simplest thing may be to download and install TweakUI.

It can repair the icon cache which may be all that's needed.

Once TweakUI is installed, open it, in the left-hand pane click on Repair, then in the right-hand pane choose "Rebuild Icon" in the drop-down list, then click the Repair Now button.
