Memories of Movies

Recently I watched some movies which I enjoyed 50 years or more, ago. The first was Midnight Cowboy. I saw this with my wife and our first born, as a babe in arms, on our first family holiday after he was born. We both enjoyed the movie at the time, however this time I was very disappointed, rubbish was the thought I had, whatever did I see in it back then.

Another was Clockwork Orange, the result was the same, exciting the first time, rubbish more than 50 years later.

What's going on? Have I changed that much, or are modern movies so different to those produced all those years ago, that my expectations have become jaded.

There are some other old movies doing the rounds, which I enjoyed all those years ago, Dr No and Doctor Zhivago to name two, should I just give up now? Or were the two I watched the exceptions? Dr No is one I'd actually like to see, being the first James Bond film I saw, and also the movie that my late wife and I saw on our first date.

Yes I agree........... For example I dislike any movies made after about 2000,the quality is just horrible......... Its not analogue and the acting sucks!!

I havent ever seen Midnight Cowboy but if I did,I would wanna find the earliest VHS release I could find of it......... (So it would be the most like it was then)
