all games crashing after 2 mins
Hello.
I bought a new computer and I can't get any game to run for more than 2 minutes. All games tested are freezing up, crashing to desktop or rebooting my system. All my drivers and patches are up to date and there is no dust inside. All fans are running as well. I have a 300w power supply but I am unable to give you further info as the case is covering the brand name There's 2 sticks of DDR333 PC2700 512MB AZEN RAM. The motherboard is a Soyo SY-PX400 Dragon Ultra Platinum. Games tested include Everquest(all patches and expansions enabled), IGI-2 covert strike and Elder scrolls III Morrowmind. I've run out of troubleshooting options. At this point I'm completely clueless. Welcome to CTH Revton. I dont know about the other games that you mentioned but according to Microsoft, Everquest is not fully compatible with WinXP. Have you tried running the games in Compatibility Mode?

Also try turning down the hardware acceleration byright clicking on your desk top>settings>advanced>trouble shooting and move the slider down.
