all my contacts in microsoft office have been deleted

HELP!!!!!! i'VE LOST ALL MY CONTACTS. THEY ARENT EVEN IN THE DELETED FOLDER. CAN I GO BACK TO A DTAE WHEN I KNOW THEY WERE THERE AND RESET THE COMPUTER SO THEY COME BACK?

Are these the contacts in Outlook or some other Office program?

yes, the contacts were in outlook

System Restore doesn't restore everything...and files you create (like your contacts) are among those things it doesn't restore. System Restore, as its name implies, only restores system files.

Did you install or uninstall anything (software or hardware) prior to the disappearing contacts?

yes, i uninstalled several unused programs to free up space on my C drive. i also installed the newer version of mcafee security and a microsoft program.....i dont remember the name.....i'm at work not at home so i cant look it up.

Joining a workgroup or domain will also cause the "appearance" of deleted data becasue a new profile is created. Have you done anything like that?
