Offline Files - Access is Denied
WinXp SP2
My Documents re-directed to a network share with the correct permissions. When attempting to 'make available offline' I recieved an access denied error to all files and folders inside the My Documents folder. The following article says to 'disable the NIC, create a new file, enable the NIC and synchronize'. Does anyone know which file they are referring to? I do not know what file to re-create. http://www.mcpmag.com/columns/articl...itorialsID=620 |

Create any new file (even create a word doc and fill it with gibberish). It's only purpose is to allow you to carry out the procedure described. When it's served it's purpose you can delete it.

Since My Documents is pointed to a network drive, I am unable to access it once I disable the NIC to create a file. Do you have any idea why this is happening?
Also, it functions as a domain admin, but not a regular user. Last edited by gonzalesjln; April 5th, 2005 at 09:01 PM. |
