SQL error when opening an access database

I have an ODBC setup to a SQL server database . When I open the Access 2003 file it ask for the user and password. I put it in and it usually opens the database in access. In the last couple of months it has started poping up everytime I click on anything in Access and ask for the user and password again. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this?
Also I am running SQL 7.0, this has been working properly for a long time now it doesn't

The error says SQL state 28000 and SQL server error 18456

THX
