Pagedefrag

I installed a program called pagedefrag from Microsoft TechNet.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb897426.aspx

I use this program on my desktop and it runs perfectly. The laptop is a different story. This program defrags the page files on reboot. On the laptop this program does not work. After the system reboots, the laptop freezes and the defrag process never starts. In order to get back to my desktop, I have to remove the battery and unplug the computer. I then have to reboot from "last good configuration". Why the difference between the desktop and the laptop? I'm stumped on this one. Thanks.
