Burning problems

i have an acer aspire 4935g laptop, ive recently had to put another windows 7 install in it, all works fine but had to d/l all the drives, but i can only burn to cd if i click on a item and send to drive, it wont burn through any burning software now, it just says burning software not detected, but it use to burn fast, its a pioneer bd-rom bdctdo1rs ata, if that helps at all. and its the only thing that i cant seem to update the driver to..any ideas please

win 7 has windows dvd maker ,other than that you will have to add burning software like Nero or some other burning software .I use Windows dvd burn and this free multi format burnining program .

Hi 47kent2010,

The driver for just about all CD/DVD Drives in every computer in the world is supplied by Windows Operating System
ie There are no 3rd party drivers available, well.. ever.

CD/DVD Drives do although require the appropriate Chipset driver is installed.
Here Is Yours, directly from your Manufacturer, for Windows 7 (32 and 64 Bit)

Please download and install it.
Restart and allow any automatic driver updates.

Then test your DVD Burner again

Note: I couldn't find any information on "bd-rom bdctdo1rs" I was searching for possible firmware updates.
Please reconfirm the model number.

yes its the correct number, ata at the end, if that helps its a pioneer, its is a rewriter, and no it still doesnt burn anything in any other burning software, just says no burning device detected, close and restart it again, but its strange as it use to work with any b4 i re installed another win 7.
