Interacting with certain folders causes explorer.exe to crash
Hello, I'm having a problem with Windows 7 x64 and windows explorer, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what's going on .
It seems that when I click on a certain folders, explorer.exe crashes. This is what I can tell you about what's happening exactly: - ALL of the folders which cause explorer.exe to crash contain videos. - However, not every folder which contains videos causes explorer.exe to crash. - It doesn't seem to be related to the size or number of video files within the folder. For example, a folder of only 1 video might crash while a large folder of many videos might not. - It doesn't seem to be caused by the folder thumbnails. - It even happens with folders that are located on my external hard drive, which were previously fine. - It crashes before I can get a chance to rename or delete the folders. - I've scanned my entire computer with a recently updated Microsoft Security Essentials. If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it Thanks |

Have you installed any new Codecs lately, or installed any new programs for viewing media files?

Yes, thank you for that idea, for some reason the problem was being caused by CoreAVC. Thanks
