Well that's not quite right. They will help with your Windows Update issue and they also have Help Forums similar to this for other issues.

Perhaps I can help with the Word problem. What have you tried to fix it?

Ok, just to be sure it's not a problem with your default template, make sure that you can view hidden files and folders (click here for help), uncheck "Hide Extensions for Known File Types" and "Hide Protected Operating System Files" (if you follow the Vista instructions, you should be fine). Close all Office programs and navigate to c:\Users\YourAccountName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft \Templates and look for Normal.dotm. When you find it, rightclick on the file and delete it. Open Word now and create a new document. Did this help?

Yes I know but just follow the Vista instructions, they should be the same. Let me know if they are not and I'll boot into Windows 7 and walk you through it. I'm on Vista at the moment.

I have Word 7 installed in Windows 7 and I have no problems. Did you delete Normal.dotm?

It's the default template for Word and sometimes it corrupts. I guess you didnt follow the instructions I posted earlier then?

Yes it does but it looks like the problem is caused by your printer driver. Go to the manufacturers site and see if they have an update for your make and model.
