comma delimited text format

Hello all... Before I start this is a homework question! hopefully someone will help me as I have tried to do it, if someone could just point me in the direction I am going wrong....

I am trying to Import of text data into a database by comma delimited text format

It is into access and the current collums are OrderID, OrderDate, StaffID, CustID

The first collum is the order ID which - Begin with 1000 and add new records sequentially

This is what I have saved in a txt doc but when I run it I get errors.

OrderID,OrderDate,StaffID,CustID
1017,01/07/07,SMIJ,GOODEH
1018,01/07/07,SMIJ,BE****

Hopefully someone can tell me where the hell Im going wrong
Cheers.
