Unhappy Need to reformat and reinstall
Hi to all,

I really messed up my pc (windows XP)HP Pavillion s7310 Slimline. Now I need to reformat it and reinstall, I tried the system recovery and got this message.
Stop:c000021a (fatal system error)
The windows logon process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status o (I couldnt see the end it was off the screen)
The system has been shut down.

I dont have the installation discs but when I first got this pc I had to burn a recovery disc ,so I have those. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

You should just have to put in the Recovery Disc that you burned and boot from it. Follow the steps to reinstall Windows.

I inserted the recovery disc and the pc just went to normal bootup, same thing in safe mode.

Howdy:

You need to boot into BIOS (setup) and change the boot sequence to boot from your cd/dvd-rom first.

Press F10 to save the change and reboot with the cd in.

change the bios setting and restart the system and put your windows xp cd and boot with the cd rom and follow the instructions as follows
