Can't go to my favourite website!

Okay, I'm running Windows XP SP2 and using Tiscali Broadband with mainly Mozilla Firefox 1.5. However, the problem is still there when using Internet Explorer, so I'm not sure whether this is in the right place, but I didn't know where else to put it.

I got up on Dec 24th to find that I could no longer access www.gaiaonline.com. I'd been on it the day before, but now when I try to access it I get a 'server not found' page in Firefox and a 'page cannot be displayed or DNS error' in IE. I can access other websites as normal. I tried pinging the website but I just get a 'could not find host... Please check the name and try again' message. Other websites were pinged successfully.

My firewall was down as my internet package provides protection anyway but I put it up again - made no difference. I scanned with AVG and Spybot S&D and none of the problems found and rectified seemed related. I went on Internet Options and made sure everything was as it should be.

Am confused! Please help... especially as I'm missing the christmas day event on gaia.

Hi Apocalypticat

Delete all the Cookies and Temporary Internet Files to see if it helps.

Delete Cookies:

Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools>Internet Options
Click the Cookies button

Delete Temporary Internet Files:

Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools>Internet Options
Click the Delete Files button
Place a check mark in the Delete all Offline Content checkbox
Click OK

Thanks TJolly, but I still can't get to the website. Still, I'd forgotten about the cookies and temp files!

Is there any way of telling whether your IP address has been blocked? On another thread I saw a link to the-cloak.com, allowing me to conceal my ip address. I managed to get to the main page of the website in this way. Does this mean that my ip address has been blocked? Or am I jumping to conclusions?

Any more ideas?
