threw documents into trash
I by accidentally threw m Documents into the trash I do I recover them?

What Linux distribution are you using?
Have you tried opening the trash and restoring them? |

Sorry about that...it's Ubuntu 8.04..LTS
I opened up the trash and can see it there but I don't know how to restore it... |

If you right click the file(s) in the trash, there should be a 'restore' option you can select. This will put the file(s) back to the original location.

OK I tried that there is no restore all i have is a panel with options open,open with....cut,copy,delete from trash,Encrypt,Sign, Create Archive,Properties

In case anyone runs across this thread searching for an Ubuntu linux utility for recovering (Undelete) files from the trash.
Try Magic Rescue in Synaptic. |
