I can't say what's "best", but I use GParted... likely because that's all I have used since coming over to Linux.

Is there something in particular your needing, as in a certain feature?

I use what works, and GParted has always been good.

I second this, Gparted is a great tool. There is also a Gparted live-cd that is quite handy.

Hi.
Probably because I I am not (almost) fully Linux for as long as the rest of you.
I prefer 'Partition Manager' because that is what I used in windows.

I don't understand.
How is using the 'Synaptic Package Manager' to download and install 'Partition Manager' a late vote for Gparted?

well jaytee will love this
I uninstalled ubuntu from one of my XP systems due to graphics problems caused by software I had installed in windows that auto adjusts the monitor by way of updating the cmos inside the monitor

I do have 10.04 installed in XP pro in a 2.8 dual core Lenovo but my ubuntu only systems are really going well
I just installed 9.10 on a 2.4 Compaq Evo hypothreader with a gig of ram
Basically Ive changed every fan in the box.
CPU fan
Case fan
Graphics card fan
And even the fan inside the PSU
But Elvis sounds better on the AMD
