Ping Between W10 PC and W7 PC

I am trying to setup an External Moving Map for use with my x-plane 11 flight simulator but for some reason my W10 laptop and W7 Pc will not communicate with each other.

I have been told to ping the two machines to see if the ports required are available or being blocked. I have setup my Windows firewall on both machines (or at least I think I have) to allow UDP on the specific ports but still not working.

I would prefer to use a simple app/utility rather than use the Windows Command system as I get confused with all the switches etc.

I did find something that looked suitable Ping Tester at https://www.windows10download.com/si.../download.html b ut that won't download.

Would be grateful if anyone could suggest an alternative I could use.

Many thnaks

You don't need a ping tester to do this, just use a command line ping command and the internal IP address of the other machine.
