Canon printer w/WIFI

I have a WIFI signal in my home from a phone company modem that provides a signal to three Windows 10 laptop machines and a Canon MX340 printer. I have been able to print documents from any of the computers to the Canon printer, that is, until a week ago.

Now, any of the laptops do not seem to be able to find the Canon printer on the WIFI. When I attempt to print a document the computer does not list this printer as a destination at all. It only lists, for example, a PDF file.

The printer will copy a printed document that's been placed in the printer's scan glass, but it does not send anything onto the WIFI.

This whole setup of the laptops, the phone modem and the printer has worked perfectly for many years. It's like the printer suddenly cannot talk or receive using the WIFI signal.

What can I do to fix this whole problem?

On the Canon Printer, go into LAN settings and set up WiFi again.

Its kind of late here right now, but I'll do that in the morning and talk tomorrow.

Thanks - lelosh

A Bepuzzlement

I found the manual that came with the printer and have followed it's directions as to setting up it's connection to my WIFI.

I've set the printer interface up twice and each time the printer lights its WIFI panel lamp at the completion , indicating that it's connecting to my modem.

My computer still cannot find the printer.

I'm especially puzzled because my home system has worked here properly for so many years and suddenly my computers will not connect to the printer.

I've been gone from home for the past seven weeks, and it"s happened while I was gone, I think.

I am totally frustrated. Anything you can suggest would be appreciated.

I would go to the canon site, download the lastest driver. Install it and follow the screen prompts, it should find the printer.

It worked!

At the Canon site I found a driver for my Canon MX340 printer, downloaded the driver, and ran it after connecting my computer and the MX340 together with a USB cable.

Then, with the USB cable removed, I tried to print a document from my computer using, apparently, my home WIFI.

IT WORKED !!

Murf gets a star! Thank you so much.
