trouble with my cd-rom and cd-rw
both of it showed up fine on My Computer. but the cd-rom cannot read any cd. and when i right click on it, it just lags up my computer and not responding. the cd-rw on the other hand is able to read cds but at an amazingly slow speed and the same goes to burning as well.
both the device worked fine previously. i manage to boot from cd and format my computer as well. anyone got any idea how to fix it? or is it time for me to change to a combo cd/rw/dvd drive? thanks in advance! Last edited by robokopf; March 22nd, 2005 at 02:25 AM. Reason: *profanity* |

They could be on their way out the door, hard to say at this point.
Try reinstalling the drivers and also, if you can, try them in another machine. Perhaps the problem is local to the computer and not the devices themselves. And for future references, try not to use profanity on our forums, especially in your thread's titles. |

No worries. If it were in person, I'd have you beat, trust me, but in the threads we keep it clean.
Let us know how it goes. |
