Loading Windows 2000 Problem
I loaded windows 2000 in my PC which had a windows 98 software earlier. It did not format My Harddrive and then install the 2000 which is the way I preferred. I am able to see Windows 98 files and also my personal files.
I would have liked to have a clean format and install. The software did not do it. I do know why. To do it correctly again, I made boot floppies, But If I put the floppy in the floppy drive , the computer does not boot from the floppy drive. How do i make it to boot from the floppy drive. My Bios settings does not allow me to change anything. My Question is How do I format the Drive and install Windows 2000 clean??? Any help would be appreciated |

What kind of PC and BIOS do you have?
You should certainly be able to change the Boot Device order. |

You should also be able to boot and install from the W2K installation cd

If you can get to the DOS prompt, try doing a "Format C:" and then go through the reformatting process if you have the Windows 2000 setup disk or CD.
